Hannah and Abigail
This is our Sweet P, Hannah, with Abigail, our new farm friend. They are an exemplary example of what manifests when two hearts join together in the pure intention of Love with the knowledge that all hearts are sacred. In this space, there is no judgment. You see, Hannah has spent the last six years of her life virtually untouched by the human hand. Along comes Abigail, a young girl with HFA (High Functioning Autism) unique in her own beautiful way. Within moments of meeting, their trust in each other was undeniable. Fear begets Fear. Love begets Love.
We fondly remember the first day they met. We were a bit nervous, as we’d only been working with Hannah for a few weeks. What she was showing us did not ‘logically’ match with this, slight, 10 year old girl. We are grateful that we released our logical thought process and surrendered to wisdom that told us to trust in what is to come. After all, the first time we met Hannah, we knew she was destined to be “a little girl’s special horse”. We could see the longing in her eyes.
From the get-go, Hannah has allowed Abigail to be in her horsey space in ways others have not. Abigail and her mom, Elizabeth, have been making weekly visits to spend time with Hannah with plans to adopt her. We are so pleased with all that is transpiring and we are happy to have Elizabeth, Abigail and family as such an intricate part of The Farm Way. Indeed, all hearts are sacred.

In September of 2014, Abigail and her mom, Elizabeth adopted Hannah. YAY!
Here is what Elizabeth has to say about this: In early fall we officially adopted Hannah and brought her home to a stable which is only a five minute drive from our house. Hannah loves all the attention the kids give her and she is so smart learning new things all the time. Abigail has gotten to ride Hannah and they both did great! We are so thankful to be blessed with her in our lives. |
